"Two Fold Ministry of Jesus Christ"

Every day is a day of opportunity to either further the Kingdom of God or to hinder the things of God in your life, family, church, ministry, country and the world.

Luke 19:10 "for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost."

1John 3:8 ….. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.

When Jesus came to this earth, He came with two purposes in mind:

#1 TO SEEK AND TO SAVE THAT WHICH WAS LOST

#2 TO DESTROY THE WORKS OF THE DEVIL

This is what I call the “Two Fold Ministry of Jesus Christ,” and everything Jesus did, as well as what we should do, falls under the above two subject titles. We will either “seek to save that which is lost & destroy the works or the devil” or we will seek fault and criticism in ourselves and/or other & thereby be destroying (or hindering) the works of God.

One might say, “Oh, Brother Slim, no one can destroy or stop the will of God.” But my dear friend, God’s true will can only be accomplished in a person’s life when that person says, “Father, Thy will be done. I surrender to Your will for my life and quit seeking my own.” Note: this is a daily and many times a moment by moment commitment.

Example: It is not the will of God that anyone goes to hell.

2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

Yet many are going to hell every day.

Matthew 7:13 "Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it.

God desires that you use your mouth to speak life by speaking His Word. With His Word you seek out those that are Lost and bring them to Salvation. Plus with the same Word you destroy the works of the devil thereby stopping the thief and allowing the abundant life of Jesus Christ to come upon your life and others.
